In 2003, the very last NLTS rally at Barking took place. This event has commemorated, for many years, the withdrawal of the last London RTs from route 62 and has always included an afternoon run over the route.

![]() RT 1784 was the only RT to complete the entire length of route 62 on the road run, as the southern end is distinctly uninspiring. The turning circle is filled by fly-tipping, and the only passenger waiting to board is a dumped dishwasher! The bus stop demonstrates inattention to detail with a miss-spelling of "Creakmouth" and an uncertainty by suggesting the stop is at Creekmouth for buses going towards Creakmouth. Photo:
