H Van 60th Anniversary

Something a little different - a big event celebrating 60 years of the Citroën H van. It was quite a challenge for us - it is the furthest our van has been without breaking down!

A total of 34 vans of all colours and sizes attended - here we can see five of them. In the foreground is a particularly early example which has been nicely restored to original condition.

The pizza served from the on-site catering H van was tasty, but it is risky eating it in front of our van when I have my camera with me!

Apart from the "bog standard" grey vans which predominated (as they always did), there were some lovely examples in other colours - and this extra-long model with ze very Fwench lettering was my firm favourite.
